studio LAO
Based in New York City and Long Island, studio LAO is founded by Ken Lao specialized in residential design and development. Ken began his architectural career in 2012 working under world renowned architect Thomas Juul-Hansen leading design such as 199 Chrystie, Beverly Hills Residence, Madison Square Park penthouse.
Ken then transitioned into real estate development working at WeWork, SHVO, L+M Development Partners. While at SHVO, Ken was involved in some of the most prestige projects such as Transamerica Pyramid Center in San Francisco, the Raleigh in Miami, Mandarin Oriental Residences in Beverly Hills.
Ken graduated from Auburn University double majoring in Architecture and Interior Architecture. Ken lives with his wife and two sons in Queens, New York.
